I understand that NaP3 version 3 does not have the AFSK-A problem. You

George,
You will probably find better NaP3 assistance on the www.telepost.com

However, set the NaP3 Global Offset to bring the carrier of a WWV AM

However, on my computer, NaP3 gets all bollixed up after I press my

Over the course of the past several weeks I've been messing around getting my
KX3 to work with the free panadapter display program NaP3. I enjoy using the P3
with my K3 and wanted something similar for the KX3. NaP3 seems to fit that
wish pretty well, and it's free!
However, there is one issue
Jim,
NaP3 has a mirror image rejection algorithm. Tune to an S-9 or greater
signal and wait a bit to allow it to work The stronger the signal, the
faster it will be corrected. An XG3 set to -33 dBm will work quite nicely.

Matt,
Turned it on, but it didn't help. I've since turned it off, as I understand
that it causes slightly higher battery drain.
Tnx for giving it a shot though!

OK, Jim. RX ISO *should not* have helped, but what the heck. In the

Does anyone know how and when NaP3 adjusts frequency offset when connected

I've found the waterfall and the KX3 VFO not to be in sync, but after
putting in and removing +-1500 offsets, they then match with all offsets
again indicating zero. I can't seem to issolate the pattern other
NaP3 has a bug.
When started, the offset is bad. When offset is changed to something on the
last tab (say SSB) to something and then back to 0, the offset is correct.
This is not saved so needs to be repeated every launch of NaP3.
I can't remember whether touching offset in SSB also corrects

I wasn't using digital modes, CW and SSB, they were just being displayed on
the panadapter via the I/Q output.
I believe DATA modes automatically cancel AFX.

Jim,
Good idea, but there is bandwidth limitations on some of those
small transformers. You may not get more than about 20 or so KHz before
there is drop off. You might want to do some checking before you go
operational with your scheme. Best of luck with the idea.

Correction, the nulls were on audio, no I/Q. They only exist when using a
stereo cable or jumpering the left and right channels together. If I pass a
mono signal to the computer, they go away.
I tried an isolation transformer with the combined signals, and they didn't
filter it. My guess is the

It's a good option if you want to have a panadaptor display with your KX3. It
requires Windows, but I use it on my Mac with VMWare/WindowsXP. It is based on
the PowerSDR family, and has been streamlined for use as a panadaptor.
