Looks to be about the same price (or even more) as a used Bridgeport. Does this REALLY use less floor space than a Bridgeport? How much less, looks to be about 6".One advantage of the Bridgeport mill is there is loads of collective experience about how to do a first-class CNC conversion.

Hi John, The encoder is 4096 counts/rev. Using Mesa Ethernet hardware with servos so no BASE_PERIOD. SERVO_PERIOD is the default 1ms. I've never had a problem cutting threads in normal use. Even when taking multiple tries to dial in a thread it always tracks perfectly. Les On 05/02/2021
