save directory (next line) Because . I will get this message whether
I try to open in OpenOffice or AbiWord (my two choices anyway).

also just try doing ctrl-e (tools expunge) whilst viewing the trash. if its working the trash should become empty.

sounds like a gtk+ bug that i fixed some time ago. i don't know which versions of gtk+ fixed it, i would have thought suse 9.1 would have it. the ximian gtk+ ones definitely have the patch.
it crashes in some 'expander timeout' or similar function.
