The short answer is to subscribe to your INBOX (the only reason it is in
the tree at all is because it has subfolders, and in order to show the
full tree we need to add the INBOX - thus the INBOX gets a
not-selectable flag and you are unable to actually select it).

Yes, this seems to fix it. It's odd that it worked for a while after I
upgraded, then just stopped working. Thanks for the info, and for your
hard work on Evolution. It's hands down the best mail/groupware
application I've ever used. Thanks also to those who replied to me
personally.
