I have a few questions, was wondering if anyone could help? (Mandrake 7.1)
W only works as root. I want all users to see who is on. They can do this
using Finger, but I'd rather have W work as I'm so used to it. It displays
the header for W, but no username or user info. I tried changing the

I've got a WD136BA hard disk on my hpt366 controller. If I try to use
DMA for disk access, my system freezes. This problem didn't exist with
Mandrake 7.0, but it appeared when I installed 7.1. I tried to upgrade
my bios. Nothing changed. After that, I compiled another kernel

I checked this out this morning and the object in the Morph 3D (GL)
screensaver did NOT move smoothly at any setting or speed.
It seemed to jump.

there is no pattern to see right now), nothing happens. ps -x after

Xterm. If you try to start X from the term window it starts X on the host
machine, not on the X server machine. It was worth the try.
