[expert] CUPS problem with /usr/lib/cups/backend/parallel

You need cups-common. Install cups-common and upgrade cups and you should be ok (if you do it in one step (ie. use -Uvh) you shouldn't have any dependency problems). Wasn't the whole point of the second release of the cups update that it came with all dependencies, properly linked?

OK. I've seen the 2 security announcements about CUPS, and also saw the posts where it said the first version was incorrectly linked against a library. But today (Feb 12), it still won't install via MandrakeUpdate - I get 11 dependency issues, mostly related to libcups. I even cleared all CUPS
