Put food (a favorite treat) near an open door or window where he can get in.
And leave a light on near the food. He is very frightened and probably
under a building or porch. He is very near by but needs encouragement to
come out. Is there any opening at all under the porch he could squeeze
Thanks Marylyn,
I just called my sister and read your post to her. They did have food
in a trap, but they have an ant problem and it was covered in nothing
flat. Justin, that's my nephew, is going to put some food out in a
swallow pan of water to discourage the ants. They don't have a
I truly believe you will find him but I get a real sense that he is under
something where it is very dark and is extremely close to home. And
frightened out of his wits. He defines your relationship with him. He is a
cat. Pushing a cat has never done me any good and I have been working with
I called Connie and told her to go out and quietly call him. There are
some very dense bushes lining the driveway, and my nephew has a couple
of trucks on the drive. I searched all of this very carefully today
when I was over there, but he could have crawled up under the trucks
where I
Look in the trucks. They climb into the engines and, being a tux, he will
be very hard to find. And for goodness sakes do not start the trucks. If
he gets caught it could kill him. They need to tell Tux no one is mad.
Also look on top of the tires. I have a feral tux that is impossible to
You're right, I'd want someone to call me too. I wouldn't be able to
sleep anyway. What am I talking about? Obviously I can't sleep over
this! One of the trucks doesn't run and the other one is rarely used,
so at least there isn't that worry. I reminded Connie about the time I

That makes two of us who are up. Keep telling Tux to go to the voice.
Maybe he will but my bet is not. And if they reach in they may want to have
leather gloves on. You aren't the only one who made the mistake of reaching
for a cat--two surgeries later I learned. Maybe your nephew could

Cat owners often behave in ways that actually inhibit their chances of

HELP! -
Susan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) is wanting information on
interferon omega, if someone is knowledgeable in how to use that. I
also suggested that she subscribe to this list.

Hi,
Since I am getting the moon pie kitty and I have been out of felv for a few
years I would also like some info on the new Omega interferon.
Can anyone explain the difference?
where can you get it and the cost?
Karen
Basically, the Mahl-Maynard protocol works this way: each shot contains
1 MILLION UNITS per kg weight of the cat; one shot/day for 5 CONSECUTIVE
DAYS (generally monday to friday for vet's convenience... ;) A little
reaction (vomit and/or diarrhea) is expected the week after when the

is this the stuff you guys were talking about that has to be purchased out
of the US?
any idea how much?
a friend last night told me 1000.00 for 12 viles?

what incredible info in this post!
the only other things that i have learned, painfully, are to NOT underestimate the sound/power of a bowl full of kibble being shaken--that has brought more scared housecats out from their hiding places than anything else i know of. a couple of times, i forgot
Thank you very much for all the wonderful suggestions! I'm forwarding
this to my sister.

Karen, the price depends on the SIZE of the vials, there are two sizes
on the market but I can't tell anything about the price simply because
I used it long ago, one should select the best size considering the
weight and (in case) the NUMBER of cats to be treated, in order to
minimize the waste...
Thank you so much Chris! This is getting forwarded to my sister too!

Precious Pets,
I feel silly addressing this to Precious Pets, would you feel
uncomfortable telling us your name? I just talked to my sister and
mentioned your suggestion about sprinkling the kitty litter. She at
first thought it was a fabulous idea, and then started to worry that it

Hi,
I know this was the best place to ask about cat questions, so here goes...I just brought a new feluk postive 6 month old cat (Yodel-lay-he-hoo, yodel for short) to our apartment, we have a feluk postive 6 month old cat (papoose) now and three dogs. Yodel seems not to like to poo in the litter
Sounds like a possible case of IBD. Cats will typically go outside the box because there's discomfort ... kinda like a urinary problem. Has Yodel been tested for parasites (just starting with basics)? You may want to change the food. Try a higher protein, human grade, canned food. Stay away from
