Allen, Thanks for the tip. However before I received it, I got so crazed with the paper jam-ups that I went to spales.com and bought an HP 2300 Laserjet. I only do 8½ x 11 prints anyway, and I hope I didn't do a stupid thing. I'll keep you posted. - Ken

[Finale] Question about Systems Margins

2003-08-16 Thread Oboe1000
Hi All, Maybe someone could shed some light on "system margins." I've tried several ways to handle them (mostly for piano-vocals and lead sheets) and find that the easiest most efficient way seems to be to set them all to zero, and just use "distance between systems" for spacing. Is there

Chuck, If both you and Robert Patterson use it, it's good enough for me! I'm going right into my default file and fixing it up! Thanks. - Ken ___ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale

[Finale] Extending 2ndary Beams

2003-08-16 Thread Robert Patterson Finale
I routinely use the Extend Secondary Beams over Rests option, but it creates a most vexing problem. Consider the pattern 16th note, 16th rest, 8th note. If this falls withing a quarter beat, all three are beamed together. The problem is, the 16th beam extends all the way over the 16th rest. I
