Also, in Speedy, one can make the current note the end of a tie (in
FinWin2k3) by hitting Ctrl and =, merely a modification of = which makes
the note start a tie. However, I believe that this is just a shortcut to
checking Tie End in the Edit Frame box.

Gardner Read (the only text I found with 3/8 listed) lists it as Simple
