Such activity is very processor intensive, runs at high priority and just
sorta takes over the confuser. Do the CTRL-ALT-DEL thing and click on
Performance while you are backing up. You will see the same thing when your
Anti-Virus scans your system.

Day three of having fun with my new 5000A and I believe the PA croaked.
I was driving my SB-1000, talking to a friend on 75M. I clicked on the
WAV tab to start a recording and the next thing I know, there was no RF
output. Everything else appeared to be normal. I may have clicked on

Rick,
I am sure you will hear from someone at Flex sooner than you might
expect.
The guys out there are very good about monitoring this reflector. In the
meantime, you might try a couple of things. Remove and reload the driver.
Reload the firmware. Go back to PowerSDR 1.10.3. I know that

I have two 6 meter antennas.
One is part of my Sommer Yagi which is on antenna port 1
The other is a squalo which is on antena port 3 (the only port that 6 meters
should use)
I'd really like to avoid adding an antenna switch.
As the Yagi does have some directivity, there are times I'd like to
I saw Ray Petit demonstrate CCW at one of the Washington State Hamfests

to startup medical practice demands, never got on the air before interest
went away. Ray is gone now, but I discussed with him at Dayton one year

All,
I've been cleaning out the shack closet and found some items I no longer
need (I think I've had one of every sound card recommended for the SDR1K!)
that I'm putting up for sale prior to taking a load of gear to the San
Antonio Hamfest in January. Here are the items that may be of interest

I have never been able to get DXLab Commander to talk to my 5000. I followed

I have Vcom VAC (registered version 4.7.0.1384) installed. CAT is enabled in

Hopefully someone with both Commander and an SDR-5000 will step up to help
you, Zack. If not, let me know and I'll do my best under the circumstances
(my SDR-1000 is in the closet).

Hi Zack,
In PowerSDR Setup on the CAT Control Tab,
What are your Baud Parity Data and Stop settings? Do you have the ID
as: set to Kenwood or PowerSDR?
I know vCOM runs at max Baud rate, but I always set the settings to
Kenwood specs. (1200, none, 8, 1)
