Yes there is a low power transverter port on the back of the 5000 that I use
with my 222 transverter. Can't remember the exact power, maybe a mw, but it
is there and works just fine.

Jim mentioned external transverters which are all 28 MHz or 144 MHz IF
generally.

bands like 222 and 432 and just use the AB button to
switch back and forth. Like I do between 6M and 222 MHz.
Still dreaming here.

I live up in Allen and I have the SDR-1000, Flex 5000 and a borrowed Flex
3000 all running on 2 computers. If you don't get enough exposure at Hamcom,
I am sure we can coordinate a trip to my place. I use my Flexes from 160 M
to 24 GHz including Moonbounce.

I use Power SDR Beta v1.9.1 with my microwave transverters. 1.16.1 blows up
when I switch from CW to digital and it corrupts the .mdb file.

I could use some
of the display than at 48 Khz.
I don't thing there is a way to 'correct' this with the Flex hardware.
The Mercury HPSDR is a different story.

I have resorted to disabling the keyboard shortcuts in PowerSDR when I
run contests ( SetupOptions Keyboard )
This mostly works for me as a seldom use any of the shortcuts except the
direct frequency entry. During the contest I have to use the band
buttons to change bands/frequency.

,
neither machine wants to have anything to do with the Presonus Firebox.
However the Presonus Firebox works fine on my laptop with a PCMCIA to
firewire card. Do I need another dedicated firewire card on the other
machines?
Thanks

Thanks for the thoughts. Maybe someone else can chip in here. I have already

I would certainly agree on the X2 connector. That way the new 1500 would be
a dropin for my 1000.
