Working now as of 2 minutes ago. I uninstalled V1.6.21 and reinstalled V1.6.17

Have you tried uninstalling, re-downloading and re-installing v1.6.21?  I'm 
wondering if maybe you have a bad download or something.  You can indeed do a 
factory reset by holding the power button when powering up the radio until the 
LED turns white.  This will cause any stored data in the radio (profiles, band 
settings, etc) to be lost, so you may want to do an export of this information 
with a working version prior to doing the factory reset if you would rather not 
lose that data.  Good luck and keep us posted.

This is a generic message that happens when the update fails.  Have you gotten 
this multiple times or just once?  If just once, I would suggest that you try

All of the time (100’s) including right now. It did work with 1.6.17 and the 
CAT and the Dax updated to 1.6.21 but that has now stopped since I removed all 
previous versions of Flex. It shows the status bar going all the way to the end 
before it quits.

I am running out of time now as I have a net in 20 minutes so I will have to 
leave it for an hour or so. I will then delete all flex related directories and 
reinstall v1.6.17 and see what happens. Is there a factory reset button?
