Nor was it anything else in my QTH domain. It comes and goees but does not

Here is how I locate it. I have an AOR 8000 portable receiver. I dial in the
offending freq and go hunting around the house. I've located a noisy
transformer on the pole. Smack the pole with a baseball

Smacking poles with a big hammer (with or without a transformer
mounted on the pole) will also help identify loose connections which
may cause interference.
It's also a good way to bring loose power line hardware down on your
head!
The power company does NOT recommend slugging their poles.
I know they don't recommend it, but I was out with a Power guy one day a
few years back.
The thing he asked me was if I had a sledge hammer as he didn't have his
truck with him. :) Even when I called in the pole, the dispatcher asked

Unplug all the wall warts in your shack, one at a time.

Check your UPS supply. You've described my situation exactly. I contacted UPC
and they had no interest in solving it. Unplugged the UPS and the problem is
gone
