Currently, it is my understanding that the Mach64 is only accelerated for 2D
under Xfree86 version 4.x using the DRI as part of released drivers.

I have been thinking of placing fgfs in the ~/.xinitrc to start

did it work?
I've done that with Quake3, and it worked fine.
I routinely do that on the FGFS demo account at the booth for

Hello,
I am trying to build FlightGear under Linux. I would like to know do I
need to do extra steps to get running the compilation/installation for
FlighGear ?
What I did:
1. Installed plib
2. Compiling SimGear-0.0.17 which ends with an error:
make[3]: Entering directory

multibackgroundAircraft/c310/c310-panel-11.rgb/multibackground
multibackgroundAircraft/c310/c310-panel-12.rgb/multibackground
...
but there are no such textures. Have they been forgotten to upload,
or are they simply not done yet?

I've been wondering the same thing. Undefined textures render on my
NVidia card as a smooth shaded quad with red and white on opposite corners.
Interesting effect. :)

I have come up with a kludge (not a proper fix) for the lack of
smoothing in AC3D models in PLIB. The AC3D loader is the only one
that actually uses ssgStripify; I believe that's the wrong place to
calculate normals, because you've already lost the information in the
AC3D file about what

Very nice! Just patched it to plib-1.4.1 here and it worked great.
Best,
