[Flightgear-devel] - Drawing Single Clouds

2007-05-07 Thread Laurence Homer
Hi, Bit of an odd request... I'm looking to add the ability to draw both a cloud at the top of a thermal, and a visualised version of the thermal (a bit like the visualised airspace shown in this picture http://www.flightgear.org/Gallery-v0.9.10/Link/airspace01.html) At the moment you can set

Hey, will be there a better thermal function come? Well, in Plib there was a possibility for drawing a single cloud at the top of a thermal. But this function is lost in OSG, 3D-Clouds are not implement in OSG. To draw a thermal you could use submodels. Maybe some puffs, Balls etc which went up

[Flightgear-devel] Latest OT/OSG/SG/FG unusable

Hi all, There seems to be an issue, reported by a few in IRC. Latest build from SVN/CVS makes FG unusable. Frame rates are (for me) at least 60% worse. E.g. pc7 at FHAW - before 43 - today after updates, 18. Lightning at KSFO - before 19 - today after updates 6 (unusable). Nick

Hi, Today I began to do the final texturing of the ec135 v.0.2, but soon I began to stick - I read about a copyright infringement about a pic of a large frankfurter. My problem: May we use logos of airlines, aircraft manufacturer etc.? Even the trademarks? (example: Bo 105 ist registrated

I've in the last days beefed up the property browser a bit. Some may consider the additions bloat, but I often missed them. See $FG_ROOT/Docs/README.gui (section property-list) for info about what the browser could do already. Here's what's new: In verbose mode (toggle with Ctrl-click on the .

I suppose since we are not using their logos for commercial gain it would fall under fair use? However, we could simply use fictional airline logo and markings to avoid any possible trademark issues, and then separate the airplanes with company logos into a different branch. Anyways it's just a

I doubt there's something like fair use - either it's allowed (by the trademark owner) or not. What might look like fair use most probably only shows that the trademark owner doesn't know it (how should he? we are not that big yet...) - or he doesn't care (I've heard that this might result in a

Life has been crazy for me for too long and for too many reasons, but we really need to get a release out the door. It has been *way* too long. Thinking back, our previous release happened right before life imploaded on me. I think there are still too many loose ends yet with the OSG port so

Hi, Yes, that was my thought. The problem is: Eurocopter is very hard in such things. I heard from other people, that they only will send you the list for liscens fee. That would mean that there is no chance for a GPL-version. HmmmSo I have to keep out the Eurocopter-Logo Greetings

Hi, You know, that GPL allow us to sell FlightGear? So you will earn money with aircrafts using a logo from a airline/ producer which never give the O.K. or that. In the USA it might be no problem, in other countries it could be... That's the problem - FlightGear is international HHS ---
