Why the flux can't we just fluxing get along?!
 David, Enid, J*** and I,
we're all happily fluxing whenever we fluxing feel
like it -- what the flux
ever happened to just fluxing being kind to one
 another?

I fluxed up once; I don't want to do it again. I
 just want to fluxing make
art, and whatever the flux those fluxers want to
 call it, it doesn't fluxing
 matter to me.

 It's just fluxing stuff, man!

Re: FLUXLIST: FFFO v MIDI

2006-06-30 Thread andrew dalio
If your soundcard can already play the soft synths,
adding a usb midi interface (I'd recommend a Midisport
1x1 or 2x2) should work just fine. Unfortunately, I'm
a Mac kinda guy, maybe there's a PC person that can go
more into detail?

 Dear Tecnicool peoples out there,

Sorry for the non Fluxlist content but I've given
myself the spinny head mess today trying to get a
 simple answer for this one:

I want to hook up my midi-controller keyboard to my
laptop, there's no game port so it looks like a
USB-midi interface is the way forward.

Now I have a sneaking suspicion that my soundcard
may not be midi compatible - there doesn't seem to
be any midi port open when i try out software.
I have got some midi-modules in software form -
would they work instead of an external module?

Before scraping through the dust and monkey nut
shells in the bottom of the FFFO coffers I need to
know what I can do. I only really have the money
for the interface no real hardware :-(

Do these 'virtual' midi-modules eliminate the need
for a compatible soundcard? I can get them to play
stuff from the desktop but haven't tried with the
 controller keyboard yet.
 Still awake?

As I'm sure you can tell I haven't got a clue what
I'm talking about and can't find a 'splaination of
the net that you don't need a physics degree to
 unnerstand!

(Andrew, are you sure you're receiving podcasts

PS to Walter...

I'm finally starting to get a little settled in here
in Portland (but we REALLY miss New Orleans). How can
I contribute to the podcast (now that I have my music
gear...).

Actually, I've been remiss in not mentioning how great
the whole Anthology package is. Once again, thanks for
putting it out and thanks to all involved for such
great works!

The bunnies that live with me (Mufti aand LaLa) prefer to do most of their art by
mastication.
And defecation. Pretty interesting patterns...
