dump out the other side.
I'm 99.9% sure I'm missing something basic but I don't have a good
configuration example for this setup.
Any help or insight would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I don't believe there's a way to reconfigure the BigIron; however,
you'll likely get even load balancing if you can create two separate

Hello all,
Has anyone ever used the upgrade scripting features on a NetIron XMR?
ie: copy tftp system 1.1.1.1 blah.txt
Is there any special syntax required? Any oddities with line break

Can you only issue copy commands or can the script perform

Is it possible to mirror outbound / egress packets via ACL on an XMR
with 5.1.00b?
I'm guessing not since I see no outbound ACL reference in the config
guide and some quick testing in the lab yields unfavorable results.
Thought I'd hit this mailing list in case I'm missing something
Another one to take a look toward is:
ip rate-limit arp policy-name policy name
You can find it on page 706 (of 2718) in the 5.1.00 Config Guide.
And if you're really concerned abut broadcast traffic, an L2 ACL on
ingress ports with rate-limiters can be very effective with little
effort.
Does anyone have a Life of a Packet diagram or document for traffic
flowing through the NetIron XMR/MLX series gear? I'd like something
that shows processing order of different pieces of the hardware and
software in a format that can be distributed to Tier 2 and Tier 3
admins engineers.

If you have an MLXe you could buy the 8x10G Cards, they will have that
feature.
I believe the new 24x1Gbps card also has these counters(?). I don't
have one to confirm though.

I'm having an issue trying to match traffic based on IP source of a multicast
group. Traffic is flowing through a VE interface if that makes any difference.
I know the traffic is actually moving because I'm watching the video broadcast
on my laptop right now via VLC. I'm also seeing traffic
errors like this suggest replacing the hardware?

Over the years we’ve seen odd issues where one of the switch-fabric-links will
“wigout” and some of the data moving between cards will get corrupted. When
this happens we power cycle each switch fab one at a time using this process:
1) Shutdown SFM #3
2) Wait 1 minute
3) Power SFM #3 on again
