You're going to need it in both places. Because 3383 -expects- a source that is orange-shifted, because it's intended for the source to be a negative film. Then you're going to need it in printing, because the print stock you're printing it to will ALSO expect a source that is orange-shifted.

I think you would want the filter for each exposure, because that's what the stock is designed for. Likewise for the developer: it's meant to be processed in ecp developer. Of course, as Ruben imagines, this would be a high-contrast negative, but that's the nature of the film. One could
