This segfault from a memset on a NULL pointer you say exists in 0.7. Does
it exist in 0.7.1 too? I seem to have a problem with my radiusd randomly
failing. Fortunately, my watch script are catching it and restarting it
very quickly causing our users to (for the most part) not even notice any

Hi,
I have installed another Redhat 8.0 machine with FreeRadius 0.7.1
installed on. I have downloaded the memtest86 bootable image and
tested my RAM and it was OK. I did as bellow:
1) configure --enable-developer --prefix=/Radiusd
2) make
3) make

This seems to be a security hole.
Why would you say that?
I have changed the IP address of the radius server, and the problemn
got resolved, both machines which ere having problems are now
working fine!!!
So, do you have sample packets which
Why would I say that?
Think logically. I have compiled the FreeRadius on two different machines
with 100% diffrent hardware:
- The first one was an Intel 1.8G with 512MB PC2100 DDR, 60 GB HDD.
- The other one was an AMD Athlon XP 1400 with 256MB DDR, 40 GB HDD.

I managed to solve the problem in rather absurd way!!!.
I changed the RAM of the server which was showing the segmantation

Hi,
I have installed another Redhat 8.0 machine with FreeRadius 0.7.1
: URGENT: Segmantation Fault
I have downloaded the recent CVS snapsot, and i am getting the same
problem
again and again.
But the important thing here to notice is that, this is happenning in
only
one of my m/c., i.e., a Compaq Proliant 400 server, and free radius was
running there for some
For future reference, memtest86 is your friend (www.memtest86.com).
