binding you gave does not show the bug for me.
but when focus leaves
via the keyboard, the icon title stays expanded instead of contracting or
retracting or whatnot. This doesn't appear to happen when focus enters and
leaves via the mouse.

Nice feature. But if it can be done with a third party
application I see no need to implement it directly in fvwm,
