That sounds like a bad seated processor daughtercard or a loose RAM chip.
Did you try to re-seat those?

Dear List members,
Please excuse me for my first post. I forgot to say Hello and Thank you.
This list was recommended to me by a MAC enthusiaist. He could not help me
with my beloved Lombard.
If any one here knows what the problem is I would really appreciate your
help.

Hello folks. I didn't mention in my previous note before (see quoted
below) that my Wallstreet 266 has a Powerlogix G3/466 upgrade card.
So OWC took back the the two Ram modules, and sent back two new ones,
with a note that said that the other two tested good, which made me
wonder whether
John,
My understanding when I bought my Powerlogix upgrade was the card would
not officially support more than 128mb ram in either slot (256 total)
Although I believe a few folks were able to have more recognized, it
seemed to be hit or miss. The Sonnet upgrades recognize 512mb.

Hi.
Please share with me what is the racket going on with
replacing the powerbook rubber feet for a Pismo? I've visited at
least three websites where they are trying to sell replacement
stick-on rubber feet for close to $20. The lowest price at one site

I've only used the free download of Stuffit since I've used a computer, and
it's always worked for my purposes, which are few. Any particular reasons
for a light user like myself to use the Deluxe version? Thanks, T

Hi.
I was wondering if anyone would know where one could obtain an
expansion bay combo drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW) for a WallStreet G3. There
seems to be no shortage of such drives for Lombards and Pismos (I'm
guessing the similar drive bay design helps), but I haven't had any
luck finding one for

Hello again folks,
Got a Lombard recently and put in two 256MB, a low and a high profile.
Machine gets real hot, then crashes and won't reboot even when cooled
off. When I take out the top chip it works fine.
Is there something wrong with the chips or can't the Lombard handle the

I explained the problem and they said they would order another one for me on
AppleCare. What got me upset is that they quoted me 4 to 8 business days
before receiving the replacement DVD-ROM module. But worst, they insisted to
keep the one I had for the exchange. That's bad because if I ever need

Discontinued, of course...
These certainly can boot in OS 9 and are awsome machines (I own one
:-)), though the reduced airport range is true (though not a big
deal for me). But I have to concur with a previous suggestion:
