PB not sleeping when closed

This has just started to happen, and doesn't happen all the time. My PB (15/1.5ghz) is not going to sleep all the time when it is closer. I pulled it out of my laptop bag tonight and it was HOT HOT HOT. The other day I pulled it out and the batter was nearly empty after leaving the office

I think that Apple don't care too much about their customers. I have a Lombard PowerBook and I can't play DVDs on OS X because DVD Player app don't support hardware decoders. Apple suggest to boot on OS 9 (or OS 8.6) for DVD Playback. As I believe that is NOT a solution, I made the following: I

I have an hp flatbed with an adaptor for negatives. It works OK for everything except that I cannot get an OCR program to drive the sheet feeder--they all say they will but they dont'. Anyway, if you want to do photos, make sure you have a scanner attachment for your negatives.

Hi, I just purchased a ibook 300mhz from a yard sale. It seemed to be in perfect shape in the box with all cords and packing. However the battery does not seem to be working. I can get it to work plugging in the ac adapter, but all I get is an X through the battery even though they are installed.

Today, my laptop is 5 years old. On 2000 when OS X appeared, it was 1 year old and OS X DID NOT support the DVD Drive. And YES I'm waiting for a FIX to that issue. If no, I will install Apple Software for free on ALL my machines. I sent two letters saying this to APPLE (one to Customer Support)

I have a similar problem. Fortunately, I can get decent performance with VPC and am using it to run Win2k. In my case, the company's web proxy has some funky configuration that I can't get MacOSX to work with. The solution was to go to VPC. It works great. I even use OSX's built-in VPN client
