if I start to upload the whole disk with uploadpart like:
uploadpart 192.168.2.16 rwd0d.gz wd0d
I get the message/error transmit underrun (9000) @20

Putting the error in a google search shows links that say it is a
collision issue the 3com 3c905-tx card, but don't know if that is the
same card you have.
What is the type of nic, and are the machines connected thru a
cross-over cable, hub, switch or a combination of devices?
