Hi Jason,
Yeah, all of the major consoles charge huge royalties in order to create
games for their platforms. While the technology exists to make say XBox
360 games you still need to pay royalties and major licensing fees to do
so. I once checked into making games for the PS 3, and even though

Sounds good but would the hardware cope with it? I don't think so.

I think the ps3 could handle it, and the xbox. If they can run a cut down
version of their OS, anyway.

I'm writing a game using the XNA framework which allows it to run on both a
PC and X BOX 360. Like Liam said, the problem isn't the technology, it's the
demand. It's very possible for me to release the game on the X BOX, but it
would likely be the only one of its kind. People are unlikely to buy

Hi Marvin,
That is a good question. Technically the operating systems that are used
in those game consoles are fundamentally able to run a screen reading
device. However, since the version of Linux used in the PS3 and the
version of Windows that powers the XBox are extremely stripped down and
Hi Liam,
Truer words have never been spoken. I have heard a lot about the Linux
Geeks that were putting Linux on there game consoles like the XBox, but
it ended up just being totally pointless in the end. After they did that
the only games there could run were the games made specially for
rocks.
Matt.

of gamers who are blind who own consoles is too small for any company to
even consider it.
It's sad, but true.
