I think you are misunderstanding our recommendations. Both Adam and I
recommend that you install host-sflow (which is a different project)
under Windows but aggregate the data using Ganglia. You will however
need to upgrade Ganglia on your FreeBSD and/or install the latest
version on

Got it in one! I hadn't realized that host-sflow didn't need ganglia on the
windows host. I'll have a go at building a recent ganglia for FreeBSD instead.

I did a trial install of ganglia on a PC running FreeBSD. It wasn't pretty as
there were a lot of path changes that didn't seem to be fixable using
./configure so I changed #include paths by hand. I hacked ./configure a bit
too, it seems to assume that libraries will be in

You might be interested in testing our release snapshot (3.3.5?) and check
for compatibility with FreeBSD. Hopefully the issue you are experiencing
has been fixed but if not I would appreciate it if you could file a bug in
bugzilla such that we can get it fixed
