There's nothing wrong with feeding healthy gex mealworms. If they are unhealthy,
the skins of the mealworms may be hard to digest and that can be a problem.
I try to feed only the soft mealworms that have just shed so the gex can

Another possibility is that this species pair bonds and the less

sterilization? For a quick spot clean with the gex inside (gex you
cannot easily remove like Phelsuma) or a quick overall clean I use
Quatricide (generic equivalent from Smart and Final). It is about $6
for a gallon of concentrate.

they are a great second gecko after leopards, besides the good

Gecko karma must be in the air. I stayed up late last night to watch the
episode of Frasier with a Phelsuma madagascariensis grandis (Giant Day
Gecko) in it!
Frasier has a cricket in his apartment and his Dad comes up with the
idea to have a gecko eat it!
