I'm looking for some tips to start off creating a specific home
network. My ISP gives me two IPs, I'd like to use one of them for my
desktop, and one for a wireless router (I don't want to put my desktop
behind the router because I don't want to compete with my roommate for
forwarding ports).
The problem was that I was running gcc-3.3.1-r2. I downgraded to
gcc-3.3.1-r1 and recompiled the programs, and they now work.

Hi,
When I do an emerge that upgrades multiple packages, I usually miss the
messages that are output at the end of the builds. Often, these are
pretty important. I recall hearing somewhere that these messages are
logged; can anyone tell me where?

specificially, or was it installed as a dependency for another package.
If I recall correctly, only apps that you emerge specifically are added
to your world file.
