Did you mean -r3? I've been on that for over a month, and the only
other version available to me is 5.45-r4.

I just updated to the latest Xscreensaver-6.01-r1.
If it starts at reboot, individual savers crash
with a screen box saying ' crashed with Status 1'.
If I stop the daemon, then restart it from CLI, I get :
xscreensaver-systemd: 10:15:26: user bus connection failed: No such file or
directory

Although this is set to disappear in the next version (not in gentoo
yet), it is still there for me in 5.45.

I've updated Xscreensaver to 5.45 (from 5.43 IIRC) & 'xscreensaver-demo',
which runs the interactive config screen, has vanished.
'man xscreensaver' says it's available,
but when I enter 'xscreensaver-command -demo', it says "xscreensaver-command:

Recently, I updated to Xscreensaver 5.42 & now it's very slow :
some savers aren't moving at all.
Has anyone else experienced this ? Does anyone have a solution ?

Since bc is a dependency, the ebuild would pull it in and install it as part
of installing xscreensaver - as Samuli has already pointed out. Therefore

Hello!!
This may be a very stupid question, but google doesn't

I'm using enlightenment 17 and entrance as display

I start my session (and, if possible on any other
environment like e16 or fluxbox, that I also have
installed).

this is a wierd one - xscreensaver-demo locks up my laptop (for certain

eg, I see a working screensaver which is, say, BioF, so I unlock the
