Hi, I don't know where should I post this kind of message, but I need to use lilypond as one of my working tools. I got stunned when I saw today that lilypond version available at portage tree is 2.0.3 the latest stable version is 2.6.5 and 2.0.3 is extreme old. Is there a reason that

search bugs.gentoo.org for ALL lilypond and you will see a number of bugs, including one referring to an ebuild for 2.7.0. You may also find the reason for later versions not being marked stable. The usual reason however is lack of developers. This aspect of gentoo is getting worse and worse.
