Check header of any mail you got from this list... Jarry -- ___ This mailbox accepts e-mails only from selected mailing-lists! Everything else is considered to be spam and therefore deleted.

Even though the instructions didn't mention this, last I checked, you should put unsubscribe without the quotes in the Subject line. I tried to subscribe with a blank subject and body, and got nothing. I added subscribe to the subject line and voila! It worked. JW

To unsubscribe send a mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ... you got this with the Welcome message during subscribing. On Wed, 2005-08-17 at 11:24 +0200, Bayrouni wrote: Hello all, How to unsuscribe from this list? Thank you Bayrouni -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list

Why dont we just change it so that unsubscribe in the subject line unsubscribes you (like every other mailing list on the internet)? -MikeOn 8/17/05, Willie Wong [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: On Wed, Aug 17, 2005 at 12:18:02PM +, Gyuri wrote: Bayrouni wrote: Hello all, How to unsuscribe from this list? Re: [gentoo-user] unsuscribe
In fact, it is - not +... And with all the sources around, they still can't find it. I dont see a reason to change the way it works, what is left to change is the mind of the unsubscribers that don't even read the welcome message... Michael Crute schreef: Why dont we just change it so that unsubscribe in the subject line unsubscribes you (like every other mailing list on the internet)? Interestingly enough, I just checked three of the several mailing lists to which I am subscribed, and none of them take unsubscription by sending a mail *to the list* with the subject unsubscribe. So I was under the impression that every other mailing list on the Internet was unsubscribed by sending such a mail to the *list controller* (whatever mailman or its alternatives are called as a class), not the list itself, and that was thus 'normal' behaviour.
