Part of the WMS spec is you can just use the SLD parameter. Instead of
saying style=StyleName you say SLD=http://link.to/style/name. See

We are currently developing a site using the OpenGeo suite on a Windows
2008 server environment. True, the installation of OpenGeo does not
allow much configuration options but we started with Geoserver and
Postgres separately so have some details to share.
