Mahima,
if you need to run Gitorious on a windows system you should probably look
into running it inside a VirtualBox guest VM, using a linux distro where
you can follow one of the existing scripts or installation descriptions.
To my knowledge there is no straightforward way to run Gitorious
Gitorious project locally on Windows 7.

IIRC using a git.* subdomain will cause problems with cloning/pulling over

Seems to be a regression introduced in one of the last releases (during the
2.4.x run?).

we've done some work on the free Installer to bring it up to par with
Gitorious v2.4.9 (including the recent Ruby and Rails-related security
fixes).

have you tried running the installer multiple times in succession? The only
issue I can think of off the top of my head is that the mysql database may have
been attempted created multiple times, causing a mismatch in passwords.
Anyway, one thing you can try to use mysql to remove the

point.

Hi there,
I just pushed an update to the ce installer which brings it up to
install Gitorious v2.4.10. This push also reverts a recent boneheaded
problem with how the installer uses git to check out the latest release
branch.
Anyway, try it now if you want the latest version and have had
Groups Gitorious group.
