It seems to me that we could have them "pressed" for considerably less time and
money. A gold blank is about a buck, right? I didn't think that professional
pressing and silk screening was much more. The real question is the quantities
required. Does anyone else have pricing information on
then pressing is most likely the way to go. We could always just get
people on the list to donate burners if they have them and pre-burn a
bunch of RH CDs, and another option would just be to have a bank of
burners at the LBS with fast machines. I'm sure that anyone who wants
something burned

A, well I never saw anything about charging for the disks. This is an
excellent idea

Well, of course it would be some small fee. Enough to cover the cost of the
blanks, and a little profit. I'd say $2 is a great
I have no problem with doing more disks, it won't diminish what I am doing.
As far as I am concerned the whole point is to spread the word about
Linux. If we can find a cheap way to get bibles to the natives I say

We will have CD's from Red Hat, Caldera, SuSE, Mandrake, and maybe Turbo
Linux. How many? Who knows till we see the packages arrive. Certainly not
enough to hand out another 100.
How much does it cost for 100 blank CD's? How long to make 100 CD's? Which

This is also good and well, but who is paying for them? I already have over
$1,000 tied up in t-shirts and mugs. And then I am wondering how many do we
buy since we have no idea how many people will actually attend the show. My
original estimate was
Hi Ed,
I have a couple machines set up the same way, I downloaded "megamgr" which lets you
rebuild et al. I like it, I forgot where I found it, try a google search for "megaraid
linux" or "megamgr", as I recall it compiled without problems. While on the subject,
what I keep meaning to do is

I think that if you don't want to shell out money for another 100 to 200
shirts, mugs, etc then maybe you could come up with an order table w/ a
preset number of minimums for each item to make it cost effective. Thus
maybe you need to sell 50 shirts (either of one type or combined), and
20 mugs
Hi Everybody,
I was wondering if anybody has used an intel 810 card with X 3.3.6? It says
that I need a kernel module called agp(something).o, and I can't find it. What
is it supposed to come with?

Typo. Sorry about that (I hate this keyboard). But anyway, it's
2.2.14, which ships with RH 6.2. I am assuming that it is part of the
`real` kernel, as opposed to a RedHat add-in if X is looking for it. Of
course, this is completely dependant upon if what I saw is the same

I have just installed a new AMD 500 Mhz Cpu in my wife's computer. It
says when fired up taht it is only a 400Mhz. I am assuming that this has
to do with the multiplier. It is in a Tyan 1590S motherboard asnd easy
to set, but I can't find the correct page on AMD's site.
I have it set for 1.5
Well, I think I found it myself. I remembered Tom's Hardware and it says
multiplier or 5.0.
Guess I will go try it.

Anyone got any ideas
Jerry,
I had a similar problem when I built a Windoze box with (at the time)
advanced hardware. I ended up having to 1) Flash the BIOS with the
latest release 2) get special drivers from the MB manufacturer for
Win95/98 because Windoze can't work properly with the hardware (one

That style connector is called "Apple kludge" (no, I'm not making that up,
it is in the SCSI FAQ). It works (I use the term loosely) by tying all of
the ground

Assuming you have only one SCSI tape device in your system, the device file
will be /dev/st0
the 450 uses 4.5..
