anyways. if we'd like to insert some of our own content/configuration , we
can do so by remastering Knoppix. it's easy:

I saw you like gaim, but IMO kopete is great as M$N client.
you should give it a try. Herbrew works great, and it even supports the
loading of the user's avatars.
It'll be integrated into kde3.2 but you can find a stable
version for it in debian apt sources.
