** ALGERIA. 17600, Fri May 10 at 1800, Ifrikya FM is S9+5/10 into
UTwente, checking for any English but no, French. Recheck 1839 now
English in progress, YL with heavy accent about adversity in Africa,
students making a difference in agriculture. 1842 closing episode
credits, outro sounds like ``Baotin? Africa``. There was also music
thruout the show and from 1844 music only. Severe geomag storm makes
this direct at 2013 only S6/S9 with heavy flutter in strength and
Doppler in frequency. By 2034, 17600 also hit by severe flutter into
UTwente (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 87.9, May 10 circa 1845 UT, Mexmx in $tereo, much like
the open carrier before. No announcements. No doubt a part 15 RF
feeder, may not be relaying a terrestrial station. This time I drive
around the block, and then walkabout with DX-398 eyeing signal meter
and conclude it`s coming from about one block away where a house is
undergoing some construxion or fixing; and can also barely hear it
earily. Strangely enough, most of the construxion workers around Enid
speak Spanish (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** PANAMA. 28282 CW, May 10 at 2015, about the only 10m signal is
fading out and in, a rather long loop, including: ``VVV HP1DCP/B ...
PANAMA ... COM 73S`` QRZ.com: ``HP1DCP Panama flag Panama, RENE IVAN
FONSECA, P.O.BOX 0819-09911, REP. OF PANAMA,
Panama`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Fri May 10 at 2200, token English from SNR is a total
loss due to auroral conditions, JBA carrier direct, likewise 15520,
nothing on 17715 or 15390. At 2226 into Maryland SDR, 15520 has a JBA
trace, the others inaudible (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785, May 10 at 2200, no signal direct from VOT English,
nor at 2226 into UTwente or Maryland SDR. Probably really off, but
with today`s geomag storm it may be totally unpropagable (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2242 monitoring: confirmed Friday
May 10 at 2040 the 2030 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.995, VG S9+5
into UTwente, lite ACI from Spain 1314. 2059 IRRS s/off, and 2100
immediately into Feature Story News. As always, it will not really
turn off for several more minutes.

Also confirmed Friday May 10 at 2200 on WRMI 9955, VP direct tho
metering S9/+10; at 2226 into Maryland SDR, good S7/S9 atop lite pulse
jamming.

Also confirmed Friday May 10 at 2230 on SW Gold Radio, Germany,
3975.003, unusually only JBA into UTwente with severe propagation
disturbance. Next:

** U S A. Pre-`AAAWWW` WBCQs check May 10 at 2340, into NH SDR: 3265
off. 5130.240 just a trace occasionally locking. 6159.930 TOMBS at S7.
7489.929, FKB at S7/S9. 9330.00v, WLCR Portuguese oonly S4/S6. After
0000 UT Sat May 11, AAAWWW on 7490 only and soon obviously another
rerun, never mind. Meanwhile 5130+ has improved a little so I can tell
it`s ATATT. 0050 recheck direct, NO signals at all audible on any
except VP 9330 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9475, May 10 at 2355, WTWW is still here with T2P, QSY to
5085 at 2358 takes about 15 seconds, both very strong direct; and 5085
with those JBA spur carriers still about 5072.1, 5097.9 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15825, May 10 at 2023, WWCR air seems dead and heavily
disturbed with extreme horizontal and vertical flutter in severe
auroral conditions. But 2 MHz lower on 13845 it`s more or less
normally strong. 15770 WRMI with its southern advantage is also
unaffected (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
