That 1939 encyclopedia is quite special. It describes many European Jewish
communities before the Holocaust that n longer exist today. I definitely
recommend that you keep it.
When I coordinated the Temple Beth Shalom library in Spokane, WA, the custodian
found a copy of that encyclopedia.
Yes, and it is such a pleasure to read, unlike its successor, the EJ, in my
opinion.

Hi All,
I bought a personal copy at a book sale years ago for pennies. I have since
then used it with book discussions that have themes of Pre-World War II or the
