-Safran] A book about famous Jews
About eight or nine years ago a book came out about famous Jews. The people
were divided by topic, so there was a section on biologists, for example.
It was a good book and I want to give it to my grandson fir his birthday but
I cannot remember the title
Do you have suggestions of books along this line in English but from countries
other than America. Would like to see a wider scope.
Thanks

In addition to the suggestions I just sent about Jewish Americans - here is
another thought.
There is one book that might be good about famous Israelis. It’s Ilan Ramon:
Israel’s First Astronaut, by Tanya Stone - 2003. Hope this helps.

There is a great book for middle graders called Extraordinary Jewish Americans
by Brooks. Don’t know if it is still in print. It was originally published in
1998. There is also a more recent one but I can’t think of it at the moment. I
will write again if I come up with the name.
