Do you mean this?
hltv_stop - stops HLTV broadcasting
hltv_stoprecord - stops recording (even if hltv_autorecord is 1)
If you mean UDP listening on (default) channel 27020, have you tried
hltv_port 0? I did not tried yet, but it may work...

Hi all,
Is there any mean to deactivate
Although those commands are useful, server companies need a way to disable
hltv altogether so customers cant just activate it from rcon or a config
file.
hltv_port doesn't seem to work in the command line.

hi all,
I read an idea on a forum that ventrilo should be disabled somehow on CS:S
game servers.
The reason was -and i think it's a right one- that ventrilo can be used as a

can be used on a war server too.
This is because,
That's correct.
I give up then, sry.
This is a dead lock. Steam have to write some code ;)

I asked Martin Otten about this some time ago, he told me this:
To start a lightweight HLTV server, slave proxy just start srcds but
without loading a map, just add hltv_connect ip:port. These relay

well, you could force voice comm, and there'd be contention for the

that already have built-in voice comm, but try telling that to
die-hard ventrillo users. It

I meant not giving the customer the rights to enable/disable such a

It's like the maxplayers settings, it cannot be changed by the customer,
and it must be like that. It's the same for HLTV cvars.

Hi,
The use of Ventrilo/Teamspeak and others 3rd-party voice-comm makes
Internet playing more like LAN playing.
LAN speaking, when a player dies, he tells his mates where, why, how, and

Sounds good as u say better than nothing really need a way to prevent
settings being changed via rcon i.e. only changed via command line or

This is a more generic solution. I'd suggest an overall solution like:
-restricted_vars file
All values specified in said file are loaded then locked
I have the awp restricted from use by both sides. I know on maps
where the awp is lying on the ground it is usable. I have users
however using autobuys that can buy the weapon on maps like

It may be because you allow auto buy which will bypass the restriction.
I have the awp restricted
Yeah, but i can understand the problems. How should the

The integrated HLTV was bad for all...the customers and the
Gameserver Companies. A standalone HLTV Version which can directly

Which mod? Some of them are buggy.
Eg. SAP is okay with restrictions, but hangs up lin. servers...
I've heard weapons can be restricted by raising it's price over 16K. But i
don't know where do i have to do this... I did not see weapon prices in any
server files, so it should be a binary value
Well. Voicecomm. is forced on my public, but what if the guy mutes all the

Anyway, you are probably right. If you tell not to do, they may stop doing

u know why? Because i'm thinking how to completely stop cheating (i mean the

And it's almost impossible now, just because 3rd parties can be executed
