What you are experiencing would tie in with the fact that the steam master

I've refreshed the list many times looking for European servers, almost all
of them listed begin with .81 or .82. To see ips in the list beginning with

An update to the Source Dedicated Server has been released. Use the
hldsupdatetool to get this update.
This update fixes a couple bugs in the RCON subsystem and adds a
-pidfile command for linux users. More details on the update can be
found here:
This update also fixes the Your server is out of date Please update and
restart problem with Condition-Zero servers. If you had that problem
then run the hldsupdatetool to pickup the fix.

Hi,
thanks for adding the -pidfile cmd, Alfred. Is it possible to create own names
for the pidfile? Because starting a server with -pidfile hlds.pid creates file
called -pidfile hlds.pid -steam
I was dreaming of a fix for that minor join/part bug that allows people
to intentionally crash servers at will. I guess I'll keep dreaming.

You can also check your setting for sv_logbans. Set it to 0 while the

I believe it's just a text file that contains the process ID number so
that you can check if the server is running by checking for that
process ID and/or whether or not that process ID corresponds to the
server program.

list by the best ping or map you want to play? I don't get how different
IP address makes one server more favorable over another. If I am missing
something
