I think that this ties into the discussion about using domainnames for
connecting to servers; the details that the server/client advertise need
to be different from the actual IP address that the server is using.
Sounds like you want to start the server with '+ip 192.168.1.1', but

Hi
I saw this as well after the update, so I killed and restarted the
server and let the update process run again and everything has been fine
since. I put it down to the update process not completing properly the
first time and didn't think much more about it.

Could people please start new threads for new problems, rather than
everything being under the Team Fortress 2 Update Released heading.

Maybe the issue is the network hardware? HLDS is very network intensive.
I believe that some cards support checksum offloading and some don't.

Hi,
Firstly, thanks for the update.
2.) There's a random memory scribble. It will manifest itself as
double free or memory corruption crash, depending on your OS.
Some have theorized than this is due to the Dr. G weapons. We cannot
confirm this.
Replays gave us trouble and so we disabled
Hi,
If anyone is able to save a dump file (they usually go to
/tmp/dumps), I would be great if you could post them in some webspace
and post a URL where they may be downloaded. Or, if your console log
shows that it was uploaded, please post the report ID. The output
will look something like
We have had replays disabled almost since they were introduced, as they
seemed to cause crashes.
Today we have also disabled the new weapons, and we've been crash free
again since.

This would make the lives of server admins a LOT easier.
Moving the server from one machine to another, for upgrades, extra
capacity etc. has always been a nightmare, and it takes ages to get our
irregular players back.
If they all remembered us by name then it would be a doddle!

For bot I wouldn't distinguish from SourceTV, replay, or tf_bot.
Surely there is a huge difference between bots that PLAY the game, and
take up a slot on a team, and bots that lurk for monitoring purposes?
I'd expect player bots to take up slots, and spectator bots not to.

Hi,
Unfortunately it is my experience, and probably many others here, that
when you switch IPs, you will lose the vast majority of your player
base.
I've tried mitigating this by putting up the new IP on the name
of the old server or automatically spamming it repeatedly in the chat,
and it just
