relevant to this type of attack. DNS reflection attacks can only be
effectively mitigated upstream. The structural solution, unfortunately,
is educating/informing the admins of the broken DNS servers (short of

In my opinion the issue is not caused by poorly configured dns server.
But due to poorly configured networks that allows spoofed traffic to
leave their routers...

reflection attack. Does anyone have a tip how to protect your server or
possibly experience with this plugin:

only allow connections to port 53 from your trusted dns servers.

The DoS Fix plugin just blocks A2S_INFO/A2S_PING packets being spammed.
What you are getting is different.
You'd have to spec with the attacker's ISP, and your own ISP in order to
block them.
