Re: [otrs-i18n] pt state of translation
Hi, Tiago... Sorry for the delay, but I was out today Yep... You have a point... My translations are pt_BR, but... do You thing that it would be so difficult for us to make a win-win game? I don't think so... :) Sure they are many different expressions, but as our mother language has nowadays the same structure and words, it'll be a good collaboration effort. About Your wish to translation being close to the last devel version, I don't have any issues with that, just thing that all OTRS power is more available on 2.4.x. And besides, many, if not all translations from 2.4.x that I have would be re-used by 3.x. So don't have to start from the 'start', but from more a middle point. Any way, I just wanted to help :) Edson. Hi Edson, Thank you very much for getting back to me. I would like to keep translations updated with upstream, which in turn would help all projects who chose to package OTRS (Debian, Fedora, CentOS, etc). I think that (I believe this is true in gettext) having 3.x translated can also be used by 2.4.x, but I might be wrong. I'm more than happy to coordinate with you and share work/translations. Please forgive me if I'm making a wrong assumption, since it's only based on your name, but I'm referring to the translation of pt (commonly known as pt_PT). Are you working on pt as well or pt_BR? Even though the two are coming even more close together, there are still enough differences to justify having the two options available for end-users. Re: [otrs-i18n] pt state of translation
Hi, Guys... I was waiting for the 'official' translators do step in, but as Michiel said, let's do our 'magic' hehehe Tiago, I have all files translated, but not to the last version. I thing we could join our efforts and come out with something more quickly. I just didn't translate the e-mail messages used by OTRS. How could we do it? Exchanging privately e-mails and sharing the final results? Edson. Em 10/01/2011 13:45, Tiago Faria escreveu: On Mon, 10 Jan 2011 16:36:34 +0100 Michiel Beijenmichiel.bei...@otrs.com wrote: Hi Tiago! [otrs-i18n] pt state of translation
Hi list, I've recently had the need for a ticketing system and went ahead with OTRS. I'm very happy with the decision, so I thought I should give something back by maintaining what is seems like an abandoned translation. My searches[0] didn't provide me with accurate information of the current state of the Portuguese (from Portugal) translation of OTRS, or if there is someone already working on it, so I thought about contacting the list to see if someone would like to coordinate efforts or if I should start working on this by myself. I'm a translator for GnuPG, Claws-Mail, several FSF and GNU projects and campaigns and a few other, less known, projects. I'd be happy to add OTRS to my work list. Happy new year everyone.
