If the file with the .txt suffix was transferred with mode binary, the suffix
does not matter.
Just transfer the .txt file using binary mode to a mainframe file with an LRECL
of 80 and receive that file.

hlq.HASPINDX is no longer used / required as of z/OS 1.11.

I really doubt it.
How about creating one GDG base for each hour of the day and include the hour
of the day created in the data set name?

We have a dataset that is as follows:
Listing says there are 12 extents of 1074 tracks each, which totals 12,888
tracks.
12,888 tracks is more than the reported 12,596 tracks used.
The allocated tracks could be wrong due to a bug.

Should work fine as long as the printer has a 3 of 9 barcode font and you
select that font.
I print from a PC to a locally attached printer with a 3 of 9 barcode font
and the automated tape library reads them.

Check the status of the PTFs on your system.
Those messages would indicate that they are received and not applied.

Use the TSO TRANSMIT command to create data set.
FTP the output data set to the laptop using binary.
FTP the data set on the laptop to z/OS using binary.
Make sure the data set on z/OS has an LRECL of 80.
Use the TSO RECEIVE command to reconstruct the PDS from the FTP data set.
When I enter TEST command CP
TSO replies enter command for CP.
I then enter: command parameters
And if the command is written to TSO command processor standards, it processes
the parameters passed to it.
The CP parameters are passed differently than the parms for an ordinary
program.
I use the following to schedule daily commands, etc.
ftp://libraries.naspa.com/techsupt/Miller0899.txt
Really simple.
