Summary: When IPL, datasets that are in SYS1.PARMLIB(PROGP1)that are defined with LNKLST ADD statements are not added to the LNKLST UNLESS they are on a SYSRES pack or in the master catalog. I do not want to VOLSER the DSN as they may be moved from only volume to another. This would cause us

Sure.. but you probably won't like it any better. 1) Use a system symbol for the volser. At least you can change the volser via symupdte or via IEASYMxx. Maybe define a pack or two that are just used for Linklst data sets that are not part of the mastercat / sysres. 2) Use your monitor
