hey friends,
I want to resize the existing partition /home.Currently /home is of 20GB and
18GB is full.
There is one way I can achieve this target
create a bigger partition say 35 GB(/dev/sdb8),mount this partition on
/home1 copy the files and folders from /home(/dev/sda4) to
/home1(/dev/sdb8),

Suppose my /home partition is on first hard drive
(/dev/hda4) and there is no space on the first hard drive. If I
install the 2nd hard drive(/dev/hdb) can I take the whole or
some free space from the 2nd hard drive and add it
to the /home partition
Wouldnt it be possible using the method he described ? Changing the
fstab mount points etc ?
I feel that was the better method. Your data won't be at risk.
