Nothing helped.
I tried downloading the ZIP from netbeans website and running the
netbeans script.
Even that threw the same error.
I am just surprised no one else has seen this problem.

Did you try to delete your .netbeans directory yet (located in your
home directory)? Delete it and try to restart Netbeans again.

Yes. I have no .netbeas directory anywhere right now.
but still, Netbeans crashes.
Right now, I have netbeans zip extracted (downloaded, saved, and
extracted as default user)
If i try to run the netbeans script, it crashes.

Sorry to hear about your Netbeans issues. Did you ever have a
.netbeans directory? Netbeans should automatically generate your
.netbeans user directory when you fire it up. Therefore, if you erase
the .netbeans directory then it should be re-created by the IDE the
next time you start it.

As mentioned in episode #207, I would also be interested in more
interviews with smalltalk people.
People smarter then me who I trust have told me how great smalltalk
was - and I am inclined to believe them. However, I was around in the
90s, just not developing smalltalk apps - but using some.
