My guess is that the PDF was created by someone scanning the information in to it. Essentially, the document contains a picture of the contents. You will need to run the document through some type of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) process. If you have OpenBook, you can accomplish this by

Depending on how large your PDF file is, will determine how long it will take before you hear OpenBook respond. Are you using the Freedom Printer from the Adobe Printer dialog? If you cannot get this to work, then launch Openbook and open your PDF from directly inside of Openbook. Annette

Flor, I'm using latest version of 6 at home and 7 at my dad's office. I didn't see anything about a splash screen when I first installed it, but I did manage to disable the graphical interface. If there is a splash screen, please tell me how to turn it off. F5 gets me into the advanced setup
