Mike & all, I am using a 64bit system with 8gb. Back in the good old days there was such a thing as "RAM managers" and in some applications they did help, especially in clearing RAM of programs that had shut down. Is there still such an animal that might help with this JAWS & other issues? George

I have JAWS 18. I have no more upgrades available on my ILM. So, it's either fork out, too, or stick with what Iv'e got, which is mostly working well on my Windows 10/64 machine. When it doesn't, I use NVDA, which is very stable and good; just doesn't always work as well with certain things.
