I run two computers; one with XP and JAWS 10 and one with Windows 7 and JAWS
13.
Both have the same version of Avast but the one on the windows XP machine
announces the daily updates and the windows 7 machine not.
I've checked that both machines receive the updates at the same
piece of cardboard and tape it over
the touchpad. You'd want to use something about the thickness of what they
use for sending stuff in mailers that they don't want to bend.
Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

don't have that brand, but if you have the user manual on the computer,
you can search for, touchpad, in the manual.
That is what I did to find the keystroke on mine, and several others.
