What I did to read a PDF was saved it to the desktop giving it an unordinary name. I chose Weird. Then launching Open Book, I went to Open Document and selected the PDF option. Next I looked on the desktop and found the file named Weird. After I pressed Enter, Open Book started reading it. I

To read anything in the Actions Center hit WIN key plus A. Tab to the list of notifications and press enter to see more details. Press WIN key plus I to get into the settings app. Down arrow to check for updates then press enter. Lino If jaws doesnt start use Narrator to see what is going on.

Andy, I had the same problem with my sighted daughters with turning JAWS off when they got on the computer. My fix was simple and to the point. I told them, if they turn off JAWS, then they can not use the computer. it worked. They would only use it for schoolwork and nothing else. Vince
